Parish Announcements – 31st May, 2026

1. SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY: Today 31st May, 2026 is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, the undivided unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Let us all celebrate this great mystery of the Church.

2. SPECIAL BLESSING FOR THE MONTH: Today is the Last Sunday of the month. There shall be a special thanksgiving for those born in the month of June and those who had wedding anniversaries or any special celebration during this month.

3. SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: There will be SCC meetings in our Various community centers on Wednesday 3rd June, 2026 at 6.00 pm prompt. Scriptural Reading: John 3: 16-18. SCC Mass will be at St Joseph SCC, Venue: 321 Road D close , House 24. FESTAC Town.

4. FIRST FRIDAY COMMUNION TO THE SICK AND HOME-BOUND: The First Friday visit and communion to the sick and home-bound comes up this Friday, June 5^th, 2026.

5. FIRST MONDAY ANOINTING: Monday, 1^st June 2026, is the first Monday of the month. There shall be special blessing and anointing at all masses. Let us all endeavour to participate in this spiritual exercise.

6. IMPACT: This is to inform us that Our First Friday Night of Praise and Adoration Program, will hold on the Friday, 5th of June. We call everyone to come prepared as we pray and give thanks to enter the last month of the 1st half of the year. It begins with the Holy mass at 6pm and features, Exposition of the Blessed sacrament, Praise and worship, Sharing the word and Intercessory prayers, Come with your family, friends and neighbours, See you there. 7. THE GUILD OF ST. ANTHONY OF PADUA: The nine days Novena Preceding of Saint Anthony of Padua commences on 4^th June and this will end Thursday 12^th June 2026. Please join us at the courtyard for the Novena immediately after 6:30pm mass beside the chapel. Please bring in your petition.

8. NOTICE TO HEALTH PRACTITIONERS: The Parish Priest invites all medical and health practitioners to kindly make time to attend an important meeting scheduled for Sunday, 7th June, by 12:00pm at St. John Paul II Lower Hall. Your presence, punctuality, and active participation will be greatly appreciated.

9. MAY DEVOTION: May devotion in honor of the blessed Virgin Mary will end Today, Sunday 31^st May 2026: Rosary proccession at 4:15pm, Marian Talk – during the Benediction., We are all encouraged to prepare & participate actively in this program.

10. REGISTRATION FOR CATECHISM CLASSES: Registration is on going into the following classes, Prayer Class, confirmation(12yrs & Above) and RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) Venue: Catechist office, Time: 3.30pm, Parents and guardians are kindly requested to register their children/wards early. Adults who wish to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation are also encouraged to enroll in the RCIA program. Thank you and God bless.

12. TEEN SINAI CONNECT 2026: CYON is calling on all teenagers between the ages of 12–19. Teen Sinai Connect 2026 is almost here! 14. HARVEST PLEDGE REDEMPTION: We wish to encourage all parishioners to kindly redeem their pledges and commitment made during the Harvest of Divine Love at the Harvest Stand (on Sunday) and the parish office (on Weekdays) in cash, cheque or POS and get a receipt. 15. SECURITY: We wish to encourage all parishioners to be more security conscious especially with their children within the compound. Kindly instruct our children not to follow adults unknown to them outside the compound .

19. (1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, we shall be continuing with JOSHUA Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

20. RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments.
