Parish Announcements – 20th September, 2026

  1. SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR THE POOR: Today, Sunday 20th September 2026, shall be our monthly Special Collection for the Poor. This collection is to help support the activities of St. Vincent De Paul. Let us all prepare to donate generously. “Remember, whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me”.
  1. SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: SCC meetings will take place at various community centers on Wednesday, 23rd September, 2026 at 6pm. Scriptural reading: Mattew 20:1-16. There shall be mass at St Joseph Community. Venue: 321Road D close House 24, Festac Town. All those living around should be in attendance. Please refer to the Parish notice board or parish website for the various centers.
  1. CHRISTIAN WAKE: There will be Christian Wake for Late Mrs Theresa Iwunna Ntomchukwu on Thursday, 24th September 2026, Venue: 321 Road B close House 19, Festac Town by 6pm. She was a member of New Jerusalem Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Let’s pray for the repose of her soul
  1. CONTACT SUPPORT:; – An Energic young man to handle ancillary duties in the Parish. Kindly submit your CV & Written application to the Parish Office.
  1. HALL USAGE: We wish to encourage all parishioners to kindly use all the equipment in our newly refurbished Parish Hall with utmost care. Kindly do not remove the chairs, tables or fans without due authorization. Please note that “Only Black Chairs” can be used outside the hall and should be properly returned to the courtyard after use.
  1. MASS BOOKING: For all Mass Bookings, please visit and make payment at the Parish office or the Seminarian and collect your receipts
  1. CHILDREN MASS: Parents and Guardians are encouraged to take their children to attend the 8:30am Children Mass at the Upper Hall. Church wardens are to direct them accordingly.

HOLY FAMILY INFO-TECH: is pleased to inform you that registration is ongoing at Holy Family info-tech services for summer classes on the following courses: ICT ESSENTIAL, COREL DRAW, GRAPHICS, ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE, DIGITAL MARKETING, UI/UX, VIDEO EDITING, CODING for inquiry please call: 08036866984, 08162195710.
  1. SECURITY: We wish to encourage all parishioners to be more security conscious especially with their children within the compound. Kindly instruct our children not to follow adults unknown to them outside the compound .

  1. (1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, we shall be continuing with 2nd  BOOK OF SAMUEL Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

  1. RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the Priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through His Body and Blood. Amen.
