Formative Priests

In the early life of the parish, when it was in the formative stage, the following priests answered the clarion call of the pioneer parishioners by coming over to Festac Town to help in celebrating Sunday Masses. They not only celebrated the masses but were sources of encouragement to the pioneer parishioners in their onward march given the several hurdles on their way. But for them, the silver jubilee celebration of the parish might have come several years later. The past, present and future parishioners of Holy Family Catholic Church Festac Town, will forever remain grateful to them. May the Almighty God, the owner of the vineyard, reward them with the crown of life through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

These highly cherished priests are:

The Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos –  His Eminence, Anthony Cardinal Okogie (the number one priest who planted the seed of the Holy family Parish, patiently waited for its germination, tended the stems, applied the necessary manure, nurtured the plant to maturity and we are forever grateful.
