  1. TITHE SUNDAY: Today, the first Sunday of the month is Tithe Sunday, there shall be a special blessing before the Second Collection. You can also make your transfers to our Fidelity Bank 5080032193 in favour of Holy Family Catholic Church, Festac.
  1. FIRST MONDAY ANOINTING: Tomorrow, 5th October 2026, is the first Monday of the month. There shall be special blessing and anointing at all masses. Let us all endeavour to participate in this spiritual exercise.
  1. CATECHETICAL COLLECTION: Our Second Collection will be for the support of the activities of the Catechetical week. Kindly donate generously, God bless us all.
  1. SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: SCC meetings will take place at various community centers on Wednesday, 7th October, 2026 at 6pm. Scriptural reading: Mattew 21:33-43. There shall be mass at St Dennis Community. Venue: 207Road D close House 17, Festac Town. All those living around should be in attendance. Please refer to the Parish notice board or parish website for the various centers.
  1. CATECHETICAL WEEK 2026: Catechetical Week begins today, 4th–10th October 2026, with the theme: “You Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me” — Exodus 20:3. Towards a Proper Catechesis Against New Attractions to Paganism. As part of the celebration, there will be a special talk during the evening Mass, immediately after the Post-Communion Prayer. We encourage everyone to participate and take this opportunity to deepen our faith and understanding of the Catholic teaching on true worship and fidelity to God. Please, let us make it a point to attend. God bless us all.
  1. OCTOBER DEVOTION 2026:  The October devotion in honor of Blessed Virgin Mary is Ongoing.Rosary Procession commences immediately after the 6.30am mass. Introduction of the Marian talk will be during the mass after post communion prayer, while other days are as follows: Mondays – Fridays: Rosary prayers @5.30pm, Marian talk during 6.30pm mass after post communion prayer. Saturdays: During 6.30am mass. Sundays:  Rosary prayers @4.30pm, Marian talk during Benediction. We are all encouraged to prepare to participate actively during the October devotion.

ORGANIZATIONS MEETING: Next Sunday, 11th October 2026, is the Monthly General Meetings of the Catholic Men Organization and Catholic Women Organization (after the 10.00am Mass) and Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (after the 8:00am Mass). Let us all prepare to attend our respective organization meetings.

WORLD SIGHT DAY: In celebration of WORLD SIGHT DAY, Holy Family Medical Centre is offering highly subsidized eye tests to help you and your loved ones protect your vision, Date 6th – 30th October 2026. Days: Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 4pm, and alternate Saturdays 9am to 3pm. Venue: Holy Family Medical Centre eye clinic. Do not let preventable vision lose impact on your health and productivity.   1. VENERATION OF THE RELICS OF BLESSED CYPRIAN MICHEAL IWENE TANSI comes up on Saturday, 17th October 2026 from 11:30am to 5pm as part of activities marking his 40th Reinternment Anniversary at Holy Family Catholic Church, Festac town. Anniversary mass is on Saturday 18th October at 10:30am, Make Plans to attend with family and friends.

CATECHISM CLASSES: Registration for Prayer Class (ages 6–8) and First Holy Communion Class (ages 8 and above) will be held on Saturdays from 4:00–5:30 p.m. Classes will begin fully on Saturday, 7th November, 2026. Adult Confirmation (30 years and above or those married in the Church) and RCIA Year One classes will begin on Sunday, 8th November 2026 at 3:30 p.m. Registration will begin on Saturday, 3rd October, from 4:00–5:30 p.m.
  1. HOSPITAL VISITATION: This is to inform all parishioners that the approved visiting time for patients in the hospital is from 4:00pm to 5:00pm daily. Kindly adhere to this schedule. Thank you and God bless you.

  1. HALL USAGE: We wish to encourage all parishioners to kindly use all the equipment in our newly refurbished Parish Hall with utmost care. Kindly do not remove the chairs, tables or fans without due authorization. Please note that “Only Black Chairs” can be used outside the hall and should be properly returned to the courtyard after use.
  1. MASS BOOKING: For all Mass Bookings, please visit and make payment at the Parish office or the Seminarian and collect your receipts
  1. CHILDREN MASS: Parents and Guardians are encouraged to take their children to attend the 8:30am Children Mass at the Upper Hall. Church wardens are to direct them accordingly.

  1. (1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, we shall be continuing with 2nd BOOK OF SAMUEL Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

  1. RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the Priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through His Body and Blood. Amen.
