- SOLEMNITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: Today 22nd June 2025 is the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus et Sanguinis Christi). It is a day set aside by the Church to remember and appreciate Jesus’ gift of His body and blood to mankind for our sanctification, and salvation (eternal life). Let us all prepare to celebrate this great mystery of the Church where Jesus is really PRESENT in the Holy Eucharist though in the form of bread and wine.
- SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR THE POOR: Today, 22nd June 2025 we shall be having our Special Collection for the Poor. This collection is to help support the activities of St. Vincent De Paul. Let us all donate generously. “Remember, whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me’’.
- SOLEMNITIES: Tuesday, 24th June 2025, Friday, 27th June 2025 and Sunday 29th 2025 are the Solemnities of the Birth of St. John Baptist, Saints Peter & Paul (Apostles) & The Most Sacred of Jesus respectively. We are all obliged to attend masses on these days. Masses shall be at the usual times.
- THE KILLINGS IN BENUE AND OTHER STATES: A CALL FOR PRAYERS IN THE CATHOLIC ARCHDIOCESE OF LAGOS. The Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos calls for prayers due to ongoing violence and killings in Benue and other states. A Day of Prayer for Peace is set for June 22, 2025. To this we shall all gather in the evening by 5pm to pray the Rosary as we seek the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace. Let’s come together to pray for peace and an end to violence.
