  1. ORGANIZATIONS MEETING: Today, 10th May 2026 is the Monthly General Meetings of the Catholic Men Organization and Catholic Women Organization (after the 10.00am Mass) and Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (after the 8:00am Mass). Let us all ensure we attend our respective organizations as crucial matters will be discussed.
  1. MEETING WITH THE PARISH PRIEST: This is to inform all Parents/Guardians of children who wrote the confirmation final evaluation that there will be a meeting with the Parish Priest. Date: Today, Sunday 10th May, Time: after the 10am Mass, Venue: Omisesan Hall, Please be punctual. Thank you.
  1. SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: There will be SCC meetings in our Various community centers on Wednesday 13th May, 2026 at 6.00 pm prompt. Scriptural Reading: Mattew 28: 16-20. SCC Mass will be at our Lady of Immaculate Conception SCC, Venue: 4th Avenue , House 19B, 40/41 Road. FESTAC Town.
  1. SOLEMNITY OF THE ASCENSION: Thursday, May 14th 2026 is the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, forty days after Easter. It is a holy day of obligation and all Catholics are obliged to attend mass and observe the Solemnity devoutly Masses shall be at the usual times. 
  1. PENTECOST NOVENA: Our annual Pentecost novena comes up from Sunday May 17th to Saturday May 23rd, 2026. With the theme, “HOLY SPIRIT BREATHE ON ME BREATH OF GOD” and there shall be daily talks and ministration, beginning with the rosary at 5:30pm daily. Moderator: Fr Paschal Ugwu, OP It is the oldest novena in the church and all parishioners are encouraged to participate actively.
  1. CHILDREN’S DAY: Our annual Parish Children’s Day celebration, organized by the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, comes up on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026 starting with Holy Mass at 12:30pm. There will be talks and an interactive session for children on Saturday 23rd May 2026 from 4pm to 6pm. The talks shall be on Bullying, drug abuse and educational issues concerning children.   1. WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DAY: HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS TEAM invites all parishioners to celebrate the 59th World Communications Day on Sunday, 17th May 2026. Come and pray with us, support our mission financially and join us in promoting the use of our phones and social media as tools for LIGHT, not NOISE and for evangelisation. In the spirit of Pope Francis’ message, “Sharing with Gentleness the Hope that is in Our Hearts,” let us communicate with love, truth, hope and compassion for the glory of God and the growth of His Church.   1. PENTECOST: Sunday May 24th, 2026 is the Solemnity of Pentecost, the official birthday of the Church. Our Parish will be hosting the sacrament of confirmation for the Badagry region at the 10:30am mass.

GROUP WEDDING: The Knights and Ladies of St. Mulumba, Festac Town Sub-Council in conjunction with Festac Deanery invite interested parishioners to register for a Group Wedding scheduled for 29th August 2026. REGISTRATION FOR CATECHISM CLASSES: Registration is on going into the following classes, Prayer Class, confirmation and RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) Venue: Catechist office, Time: 3.30pm, Parents and guardians are kindly requested to register their children/wards early. Adults who wish to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation are also encouraged to enroll in the RCIA program. Thank you and God bless.

MAY DEVOTION: May devotion in honor of the blessed Virgin Mary is ongoing, Monday-Friday: Rosary prayers at 5:30pm, Marian Talk – during 6:30pm mass after post-communion prayers .Saturdays: Marian talk during the 6:30am mass, Sundays: at 4:30pm-Rosary prayers and Marian Talk during Benediction. We are all encouraged to prepare & participate actively in this program. PLEASE NOTE: Devotional societies assigned talks should adhere to the instructions as directed in the roaster (check page 3 of the Bulletin).

HARVEST PLEDGE REDEMPTION: We wish to encourage all parishioners to kindly redeem their pledges and commitment made during the Harvest of Divine Love at the Harvest Stand (on Sunday) and the parish office (on Weekdays) in cash, cheque or POS and get a receipt.   1. RENOVATIONS: This is to bring to our awareness that the JOHN PAUL 11 Hall is undergoing renovation until further notice. Therefore, all activities scheduled for the upper hall should be rescheduled for another venue in the church compound. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
  1. SECURITY: We wish to encourage all parishioners to be more security conscious especially with their children within the compound. Kindly instruct our children not to follow adults unknown to them outside the compound .

  1. (1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, we shall be continuing with DEUTERONOMY Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

  1. RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the Priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through His Body and Blood. Amen.
