MOTHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION 2026: Today, 19^th April 2026 is our Parish Mother’s Day thanksgiving and celebration. It begins with the 10:00am mass. We are all encouraged to celebrate our mothers.

VOCATION SUNDAY: Next Sunday, 26^th April 2026 is Good Shepherd Sunday (Vocation Sunday). It is a day all faithful are encouraged to pray for an increase in vocations to the Priesthood and Religious life; that God will raise up many holy Priests, brothers and sisters who, in selfless and willing service, will lead the people to knowledge of Him. Please note that there will be a special collection (Seminary Collection) at all masses, let us all prepare to donate generously.

SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: There will be SCC meetings in our Various community centres on Wednesday 22nd April, 2026 at 6.00 pm prompt. Scriptural Reading: John 10: 1-10. SCC Mass will be at St Peter SCC, Venue: 512Road Avenue, F Close, House 24, FESTAC Town.

SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR THE POOR: Today, 19^th April 2026 shall be our monthly Special Collection for the Poor. This collection is to help support the activities of St. Vincent De Paul. Let us all donate generously. “Remember, whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me”

FEAST DAY: Saturday, 25^th April, 2026 is the Feast of St. Mark (Evangelist). We are all encouraged to attend mass and observe the feast devoutly.

REQUIEM MASS: There will be Requiem Masses for Late Mr Anthony Chukwuemeka Igbo on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026 by 12:30pm. He was a member of the Association of the Sacred Heart of Jesus & Immaculate Heart of Mary. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

REGISTRATION FOR CATECHISM CLASSES: Registration is on going into the following classes, Prayer Class, First Holy Communion, confirmation and RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) Venue: Catechist office, Time: 3.30pm, Parents and guardians are kindly requested to register their children/wards early. Registration into first Holy Communion class closes on the 25th of April 2026. Adults who wish to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation are also encouraged to enroll in the RCIA program. Thank you and God bless.

HARVEST PLEDGE REDEMPTION: We wish to encourage all parishioners to kindly redeem their pledges and commitment made during the Harvest of Divine Love at the Harvest Stand (on Sunday) and the parish office (on Weekdays) in cash, cheque or POS and get a receipt. RENOVATIONS: This is to bring to our awareness that the JOHN PAUL 11 Hall is undergoing renovation until further notice. Therefore, all activities scheduled for the upper hall should be rescheduled for another venue in the church compound. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

SECURITY: We wish to encourage all parishioners to be more security conscious especially with their children within the compound. Kindly instruct our children not to follow adults unknown to them outside the compound .

(1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, we shall be continuing with NUMBERS Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the Priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through His Body and Blood. Amen.
