Parish Announcements – 26th October, 2025 – Holy Family Catholic Church

SPECIAL BLESSING FOR THE MONTH: Today is the Last Sunday of the month. There shall be a special thanksgiving for those born in the month of October and those who had wedding anniversaries or any special celebrations during this month.

FEAST DAY: Tuesday, 28^th October 2025 is the feast of St. Simon & Jude (Apostles). We are all encouraged to attend mass and observe the feast devoutly.

Small Christian Community: There will be SCC meetings in our various community centres on Wednesday, 29th October, 2025 at 6.00 pm prompt. Scriptural Reading: John 6:37-40. SCC Mass will be at St. Paul SCC. Venue: 401 Road, G Close, Block 5 Flat 4, FESTAC Town.

PATRICIA MEETING: This gathering, promises to be an enriching opportunity for our parish family tocome together, share experiences, and deepen our understanding of our faith. We look forward to another lively and inspiring discussion. The Patrician Gathering details are as follows: Date: Sunday, 26th October, 2025. Time: Immediately after the 10:00 am mass Venue: Courtyard opposite the chapel of adoration H.F.C.C.
ALL SAINTS: Saturday November 1^st, 2025, is the Solemnity of All Saints. It is a day when the Church celebrates all the holy men and women, known and unknown. It is a holy day of obligation. Let us all prepare to attend mass and observe it accordingly.

ALL SOULS: Sunday November 2^nd, 2025, is the Commemoration of All the faithful departed (All Souls). Special envelopes will be distributed for us to write the names of our departed loved ones and make an offering for masses throughout the month of November.

OCTOBER DEVOTION 2025: The October devotion program ends on the 31st of October, 2025 There will be rosary procession @5.30pm and Maria reflection talk during the mass. We are all encouraged to participate actively on that day.

ALTAR HOST: Please be reminded that our altar host is now sold for N3,500(per pack). We apologize for any inconveniences.

(1%) ONE PERCENT BIBLE CHALLENGE: We wish to encourage all Parishioners to read and study the word of God for at least 15minutes every day; which is about 1% of 24 hours. For this week, we shall be continuing with GENESIS Take up this challenge faithfully as stated below and be enriched spiritually.

RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the Priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through His Body and Blood. Amen.
