SEMINARIAN: We thank our Seminarian, Mr. Anthony Eze, as he concludes his pastoral experience here with us. We wish him God’s blessings as he returns to the Major Seminary.

TITHE SUNDAY: Every first Sunday of the month, parishioners would have opportunity to pay their tithes at all masses. Special tithe envelopes will be provided for this purpose. May God bless and grant success to the work of our hands. Amen.

CHAPEL OF ADORATION: We wish to remind parishioners to kindly obey the set rules in front of the Chapel and avoid distracting others there. It is a holy place, let us respect its sanctity.

BIRTHDAY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY: The Parish will be celebrating the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Sunday 8th September, 2019.

EHJ CLINIC: We wish to inform our dear parishioners that our beloved Sr. Eucharia Eghaghe, EHJ shall be proceeding on a 4-month sabbatical leave. Let us remember her in our prayers. The Clinic shall be administered by Sr. Elizabeth Ayinde, EHJ.

INDECENT DRESSING: We wish to remind all our parishioners of the importance of decent dressing to the Church. The church is not a fashion Parade or a place for indecent exposure. Let us kindly ensure that we and our children dress properly to the Home of God.

HOLY FAMILY INFO-TECH SUMMER BOOT CAMP: Build Apps, Games and Robotics on our ongoing Boot Camp Programme at Holy Family Info-Tech Services for ages between 7-17 years on (August 19th – August 23rd). PARISH LITURGY: let us kindly take note of the following blessings during the week.

  3. Thursdays: Blessings for Expectant Mothers and those seeking the fruit of the womb. (6:30pm only)

USE OF CHURCH FACILITIES: We wish to appeal to all parishioners to kindly handle church equipment and property with care and always return them properly after use. Kindly note that the church hall should not be littered. No eating or drinking of any kind.

SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY MASS FOR WEDNESDAY, 28th August 2019 is schedule to be celebrated at St. Mary Community, area enclosed by part of 4th Avenue, 21 Road, 31 Road and 3rd Avenue, Festac. PARISH OFFICE: The Parish Office will now be open on Sundays from 8am to 1pm. Parishioners can take advantage of this opportunity on Sundays to book masses.

RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through his Body and Blood. Amen.

DEAR PARISHIONERS, kindly be informed that going forward, Adults would not be allowed into the tent during the 8am Children’s mass at the Event Center, as the tent is reserved for the children only. Parents please note also that Children would not be allowed to attend mass at the 8am Parish Centre as they expected to attend mass at the Event Centre. Thank you for usual co-operation.

PARISH UNIFORM: This is to remind Parishioners that our Parish uniform is still available for Sale, on Sundays at the 40th Anniversary Desk opposite the Bookshop (parish Centre); Souvenir Stand (Event Centre); and in the Bookshop on week days. The Uniform, which is of the finest cotton quality, is going for only N6, 000 per piece of SIX YARDS.

PARISH LIBRARY: The Anthony Cardinal Okogie Library is open for usage to all parishioners and Non-Parishioners who intent to study for various examinations or read for information purpose. Also, we offer services like (i).Photocopying. (ii). Perfect Coloured Photocopies and Printouts now available (iii). Typing (iv). Laminating (v). Binding (vi). Scanning etc at affordable rates. Parishioners, we are happy to remind you that the Archbishop’s visit to our Deanery is this week.

Next Friday, 30th of August, it will be the turn our Parish: Holy Family Catholic Church to receive the Chief Shepherd of our Archdiocese, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, the Catholic Archbishop of Metropolitan See of Lagos.

All Parishioners are to line both sides of 22 Road by 10 am, dressed in our Parish uniform, waving flags adorned with the Archbishop’s emblem.

After the reception, His Grace the Archbishop will proceed to the Court Yard to address our Parishioners. The Archbishop will thereafter visit the Parish Bookshop, Library, Hospital and the site for our Church building.

The evening session will be attended only by nominated representatives of the Parish.
It will kick off by 4:30pm at the HFCC Event Centre.

At the Centre, the Archbishop will hold an interactive session with representatives of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the Church of Annunciation.
Parishioners are expected to attend a benediction by the Archbishop by 6.00pm.

HOLY FAMILY INFO-TECH SERVICES is pleased to announce the use of internet access at the computer centre. 30min, 1hour and 3hours time use. Computer training activities is in progress for interested individuals.
